Swing Time Big Band brings to life the music of Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and other Master Leaders of the Big Band era sounds of the 40’s. Our musical library also includes tunes of the 50’s and beyond!
Our band consists of seventeen instrumentalist and two vocalist. With this unique blend of musicians, combined with our extensive library of Big Band arrangements, we provide dance able rhythms that will compliment your event.
Some of our playing engagements include: Ft Myers Officers Club, VA. Marriott and Omni Hotels in Washington DC, for military retirees Gala dinner and dance events. Lion’s Clubs, The Big Band Society, Potomac River Jazz Club, Bodkin Yacht Club, Mardi Gras Dances. Kensington, Gaithersburg, Howard County and Laurel Historical Societies Gala and dinner dances, Old Town Day for the City of Gaithersburg, and In The Streets, musical weekend, Frederick, MD. and many other venues and events in the greater Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC Metro areas.
